A Period for a Conspiracy Theory.

Dear CNN:

Please stop telling the world the new FL370 “last words” were “Good night Malaysian 370,” when in fact they were “Goodnight. Malaysian 370.”

I’m sure, especially with your 24/7 panel of aviation pundits, you well know that a little punctuation in this case can be the difference between proper aviation parlance (including your flight identifier at the end of a transmission) and fueling conspiracy theories (of someone bidding the flight an eery “goodnight”) from your website headlines.

And the fact that these words are even a story for your network should only be translated in News Producer parlance as,

“We got nuthin.”
